We all live downriver from Hanford, one of the most contaminated places in the Western Hemisphere, but together we can change Hanford's toxic legacy and protect our water, wildlife, and way of life!
Join us for an evening celebrating our new window mural dedicated to our nonprofit partner of six years, Hanford Challenge. This local organization works to bring attention and action to the Hanford Nuclear Site, an environmental hazard built on the banks of the Columbia River that threatens both ecosystems and human ways of life.Â
Doors will open at 6pm, enjoy local refreshments, a limited-edition surprise, and settle in for an evening of poetry and community.
As the Director of the Department of Ecology, Laura Watson works to protect Washington's air, land, water and climate. With 22 years of experience working on environmental issues, under Watson's leadership the Department of Ecology has begun implementing major new climate policies, including cleaning up the Hanford Nuclear Site.

Hanford Challenge is working to create a future for the Hanford Nuclear Site that secures human health and safety, advances accountability, and promotes a sustainable environmental legacy.Â
